Welcome to Tabre: Nepali Calendar New Tab. We believe your new tab experience should be beautiful, useful, and private. This policy outlines how the extension handles your data and uses Chrome permissions.

1. Local Data Processing (No Tracking)

Tabre does not collect, track, store on remote servers, or sell any personal data. All of your custom events, task reminders, and visual preferences (such as your glassmorphism toggle settings) are stored strictly locally on your own device using your browser's built-in storage.

2. Why We Request Permissions

To provide a fully-featured dashboard, Tabre requires the following permissions, which are used exactly as described below:

• Storage: Used exclusively to save your custom calendar events, task reminders, and UI settings locally on your machine.
• Alarms & Notifications: Used together to schedule and trigger desktop push notifications and audio alerts for the tasks and events you explicitly create.
• Bookmarks: Used strictly to display your saved browser bookmarks directly on your new tab page for easy, quick access. We do not track, alter, or export your browsing history.
• Host Access (timeapi.io): Used to securely fetch precise, real-time clock synchronization to ensure the calendar and date converter remain perfectly accurate.

3. Offline Functionality

Tabre is built with a privacy-first mindset. Aside from syncing precise time data or dynamically loading background images, all core features—including notifications, task management, and calendar algorithms—work 100% offline on your device.
